Due: You should have turned in your Luke Wanted Poster and StudySync grammar assignment. If you have yet to submit these assignments, please do so ASAP!

I sure have missed seeing each and every one of you! I hope you are doing your part to stay safe by staying home during this time of shelter in place. This week's assignments will be discussed below in detail. If you have questions, feel free to email me with your questions. Great job to those who are actively participating in getting your classwork done. I AM PROUD OF YOU!  It is important that we stay connected and carry on with classwork. 1. StudySync-Possessive Pronouns-make sure to take your time reading over the model examples. Possessive Pronouns can be tricky!
2. StudySync Blast/Write- Answer the prompt in a well-written paragraph.

1. FLIP GRID CHALLENGE! I need to see your faces and we need to be getting outside and moving!  We will have a Period 1, 2, 5, 6 challenge. This winning class (participants only) will get 50pts EXTRA CREDIT in the HW category. Let's have some fun! Check out Google Classroom for details and let's have some fun!

1. Table time conversations! Check out Google Classroom for sentence starters and questions for your family to engage in.

~Extra Credit reading option- read a book you haven't previously read before, take an AR test and fill out the online book report for extra points in the writing category. Details are in Google Classroom

~ All assignments are due by Friday at 11:59. The extra credit reading will remain until the end of our COVID-19 Shelter in Place.

Week 30 March 23-27

Due: Last night you should have submitted Enrique's Journey via StudySync. If you forgot to submit, please do so ASAP. It will not be counted as "late."

3. Spend 20 minutes of your day reading something....magazine, online article, a favorite book, etc. This is on the HONOR system. If you are able, Sea of Monsters is the next book in the Percy Jackson series.

Week 29 March 16th - 20th

Wednesday, March 18th, 2020
Due: Tour Builder (If you are not in class today, this will be due when we return to school).

1. Today you will have the class period to work on our comparative essay. Remember you are looking at the sacrifices that Sally Jackson and Lourdes made for their children. Refer to Study Sync for the actual essay prompt. When you are finished, make sure you PROOF read your essay. This assignment is DUE Sunday, by 11:59. If you have any questions, please ask or email me.

• Starting Monday, March 23rd I will be posting our class assignments for the week. Assignments will be due each Friday by 11:59. This allows you to do assignments around your schedule.
• Assignments will not be rigorous but more of an enrichment/review. 
• If you have any questions or concerns, please email me and I will get back to you in a timely manner.
• Please take care of yourself and I look forward to seeing you all next month!
